Individuals may support the work of KAM by: 1) Donating to KAM's operational budget with monetary gifts of any size. (KAM will acknowledge your gift and send you our yearly report of ministry) 2) Praying for our ministries 3) Giving to our college scholarship fund 4) Donating to one of KAM's named Funds listed below: The Poage Fund - Started January 1, 2000 in honor of Bennett D. Poage who served as the first Kentucky Appalachian Area Minister from 1986 until his retirement in 1999. This income is used only to support KAM. The Grandgeorge Fund - Established August 23,2000 with a gift from David and Beck Grandgeorge in memory of Elmer and Mary Grandgeorge. This income is used only to support KAM. Northern California - Nevada Scholarship Fund - Established in 1999 as a scholarship program for licensed and bi-vocational ministers to serve in the Kentucky Appalachian Area. Nina J. Poage Fund - Established October 15, 2008 in memory of the Rev. Nina Poage, an Appalachian leader, pastor, and organizer. The fund will support co-operative ministries. T. G. Moren Fund - The Moren Fund started in 1937 as a gift from T. G. Moren for use in Laurel and adjoining counties. Income is now used by KAM. Individuals, regions, or groups are welcome to establish a named fund for a gift of $2,500 or more. Named funds are published in the Kentucky Christian reaching approximately 15,000 Kentucky Disciples' homes. |
