KAM Leaders College Scholarship

Kentucky Appalachian Ministry is pleased to announce that we are now able to provide $18,000 in annual awards through The KAM Leaders Scholarship fund.  We recently awarded $35,000 in scholarships for the 2011-2012academic year and are looking forward to awarding more for the upcoming school year.  Interested students are encouraged to apply through Midway College!   (Note: Applicants must be admitted Midway College before applying.  Please see additional requirements below.)

Midway College was founded in 1847 from the compassion and generosity of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) through one of its most revered ministers, Dr. L. L. Pinkerton.  For 160 years, Midway has educated students who are underserved by other institutions and who stand to be left behind by a society that continues to place more value on education.  There is no place in more need of Midway's compassionate approach than the areas of Appalachia, and together with Kentucky Appalachian Ministries, Midway is serving these individuals with an appreciation for their unique communities and with a focus on fostering leadership that will stay in the region and contribute hope and ideas for the benefit of the current generation and the next.  Midway relishes its role as a critical ministry of KAM and the Disciples of Christ through the Appalachian Leaders Scholarship Fund.
